Another roll find, I think this one came from a "unsearched" roll of 1939-1959 rolls of nickels. Searched or not I found this among some other keepers.

After digging through VV and Wexler I am certain it matched to DDO-01 and DDR-01.
Please bear with me as my coin scope is still packed away from the last move and am working to get to it so atm I am working with my phone.

You can see all obverse die cracks match up to listed markers in both catalogs

Forehead Crack running full width of head

Running down behind the eye also doubling on Trust

Harder to see in this pic but Crack continuing down the cheek

Die gouge in front of forehead

Reverse die gouge and seriffs

1943-D-Jeffy-DDO-And-DDR
Die Crack running down to mm

Die Crack running down from Cent

Seriffs on UNUM

You can see some of the doubling on the 4 here, however this pic shows the oddity on this obverse. I have seen no mention or pics in regards to the doubling around his pony tail and ribbon. Has anyone come across any of this before? Deff seems to noticeable and big to not mention on VV or Wexlers.

If any other pics are needed please let me know. I am going to try and get better pics of the seriffs for sure as they do not show nearly as well in these pics. In person even with my current loop I am able to see clear separation on them.

Great looking coin. Could you get better pics of just the doubling that you see. Lots of great die cracks but the crack in the hair doesn't match ddo-001 or ddr-001.

If you look at stage c dies for both they do match up, I spent a good bit of time going thru a few sites matching dienmarkers and anything I could find.
I have figured out where my scope is and should have it here shortly. Now I just hope its compatible with my newer laptop otherwise I'll be going to a friend house to use his new one. Regardless I will have better detailed pics of the lettering and seriffs posted shortly.

This is a nice part silver war time nickel. But the disturbance you are seeing is not showing a DDR. Just die issues. Die wear/die cracks, some slight Machine Doubling. (strike issue) But not not seeing any die doubling issue. This should be a keeper for a coin book. (Not sold for silver)

I can see the split seriffs in hand with my loop, thats why I'm after better pics. Sadly my phone is great at taking pics at a far distance with good details, it suuuucks at anything close up macro style with good or better details. Makes me wish I had held off on posting this until I had pics that really shows the seriffs and necessary details. It's also what keeps me from posting other coins that I need help attributing bc I can't get proper details atm but darn if I can't help but showing off something here and there lol.
