coop Bedrock of the Community United States 62064 Posts	Posted 01/19/2023 11:36 am Looks like this is a Struck through at capped die issue, preventing the strike on the obverse. The reverse will be normal and not affected. Just a capped die issue. (mint error) Report this Post to the Staff

After researching capped die, I forgot about the coin I had on the right, never know what was going on with it. There is a faint outline of Abe if you hold it just right in the light along with what looks like memorial columns. Thanks for the comments, these coins have always confused me. HGK3 Pillar of the Community United States 572 Posts	Posted 01/19/2023 5:17 pm The 2000 cent (on the left) appears to be a capped die while the cent on the right looks more like a brockage to me as I think I see a stretched out Memorial on what should be the obverse. While better photos of each would help, both errors are very sought after and usually highly prized by those who find them. Nice finds both of them. Report this Post to the Staff
