I have this 1964 Kennedy half dollar with significant doubling of the outer edge letters, especially "Half Dollar". Just windering if this is common and how it should affect value. Uncirculated, high grade.

Ok, so first me personally I do not consider this coin high grade. your opinion is yours and I respect. 60 , 61 will be the best for this coin.

Second: Sorry you do not has one of the 3 DDR know here. You has an strong Strike Doubling which it is say more popular MD.

Appears to be Machine Doubling on the reverse.

Agreed on it being MD on the reverse.

The obverse on WE TRUST is probably the same thing.

Looks like MD to me. OUTSTANDING photos! Tough to capture silver coins the way you have.

Note on a doubled die, the devices are enlarged, not reduced by Machine Doubling. The spread will be seen as larger devices and sometimes on the centers of the devices. Here are side by sides of what I'm taking about on a different year/mint proof coin:
1964-DDR-Kennedy-Half--Dollar
1964-DDR-Kennedy-Half--Dollar
1964-DDR-Kennedy-Half--Dollar
1964-DDR-Kennedy-Half--Dollar
1964-DDR-Kennedy-Half--Dollar
When you see the outside edges of the devices affected, that is one clue for Machine Doubling and if it is towards the closest rim, then that will be die wear. So always look at the centers of the devices, not on the outside edges for a doubled die.
