Wow, those seem to go for a buck each in decent condition, which those look to be. I wonder the story, maybe the dealer was just trying to clear out product and go home... what a mystery.

Wow, those are in nice condition! Maybe the dealer didn't want to "deal" with the work required to sell them for a buck each? I still think he could have sold them by the roll for a better price, but congrats on being in the right place at the right time!

I was discombobulated when telling the story to my dad on the phone, when I was leaving the show. When he said $10, I asked him how many were in the bag, but he didn't know. He threw them on a scale? It was the first 40 minutes of the show, no way that he was in a hurry to get rid of them.

I'm guessing he thought they were Wheat cents.

Definitely hard to believe a dealer would throw so much money away.
