Excessive die wear,
Machine Doubling and circulation flattening on a normal coin. A clue for Identifying a doubled die and not circulation flattening is that the doubled die usually is not found on both sides of the coin. If it is, it is not in the same direction and usually strong on one side, and weaker on the other other. So if you see the same circulation flattening, the
Machine Doubling in two different directions, Damage to both sides of the coin and die wear in the direction towards the rims, it is not a doubled die. Striking events and coin damage is not a doubled die. On a
DDO, you will see the centers of the devices showing a wider set of devices:

Note the spread on the devices makes the devices wider/taller. On your coin the devices are normal in size but showing circulation flattening. So compare the images to see what I'm noticing on the
DDO, that your coin doesn't have. The 'U' would show a vertical spread on that device. On your coin the device
Machine Doubling is angled. The top of the '7' is not taller? Thus your coin was not that
DDO die strike on your coin. But knowing why we give answers is important. I want you to see what we see that is lacking on your coin. (that's my personal goal) Knowing what your missing, helps train your eyes. The more you train your eyes, the more you will be looking for on your searches. If you have questions, ask. Better to know, rather than guess. If you have a question on someone else's coin, start a new thread, so we can answer it there. To help you will your eye training, I have many threads with answers to questions you've not even thought of. It is on the top box on the forum:

Start with the last page first as I have questions that link to subjects already handled. It will help you advance in knowledge a lot faster. The subjects are often on three lines, so start at the last page first. Then go backwards. This project was started years ago, and the labeling is easier to find the information you wanting to find quicker. Or you can click on the
CoopHome link (note it turns blue? Answers can be found quick on these blue links when they are that blue color) to get the the first pages.
