@fla, while I agree that these are invariably toning due to chemical/environmental exposure, can you please give us the weight? Missing clad coins typically are underweight.

We need to know the weight.

I see an environmental damaged/toned coin here and not missing clad layers. Weight to 0.01 grams will tell the true story.

I agree with the others this is not a missing clad error. When a copper-nickel clad coin is missing some or all of its outer (nickel) layer, the coin appears copper colored where the clad is missing. See the photo below for a 2003-d which sold for $200 (condition along with grading can vary the pricing quite a bit), and you can read a bit more in this article https://coins.thefuntimesguide.com/...error-coins/

a missing clad quarter will show very red. Your coin still shows the silvery color on both sides. Your coin is environmentally toned or has been in or on the ground for a while.
