1986 D 1c Memorial Repunched Mint Mark / RPM (Unlisted?)

The top and bottom are split but the bottom is difficult to see. It does take the right light to see it so not an easy one to spot. What do you think? coop Bedrock of the Community United States 62064 Posts	Posted 02/16/2023 2:15 pm During that time period, I noticed these: Why I ruled them out as a damaged punch issue was that the affected areas were not showing the areas near the serif as a RPM would look like? Note on these images and on your coin, the So called area of a RPM, are showing the insides of the serifs affected. If this were a RPM then the tops and bottoms of the mintmark would be affected. Not just the inside areas between the serifs. Thus I've never considered these as RPMs, but as mintmark punch damage to the punch. Dr. Griffin is still working on the 1986-D 1c Wexler RPMs files. I'd recommend waiting until those are done and published and checking if any of them match. Report this Post to the Staff
