Hello everyone... quick question. I found this 1946 Wheat penny and think it's in pretty decent condition. Is this a bronze penny? Do you think it may be worth anything? I always wonder if it's better to just put coins away like this for future generations.

I will attach normal pictures and with light to better see details. I would love feedback, even if not that great.

@bma, in general, well circulated, common-date wheat cents are worth four or five cents.

Your coin is an alloy of 95% copper and 5% tin or zinc. Bronze is a similar medal with lower copper content (88%) alloyed with tin alone (12%). So, technically this not a bronze coin although it's common for collectors to refer to them as such.

Your 1946 cent is a common date, circulated coin that appears to have been cleaned. It's worth a few cents but no real numismatic premium.

Agree with all above. Given the pics posted, it appears the coin may have been cleaned at some point in the past.
