1946 Wheat Penny, No Mint Mark - Coin Community Forum

Is this a bronze penny? Do you think it may be worth anything? I always wonder if it's better to just put coins away like this for future generations. Bronze is a similar medal with lower copper content (88%) alloyed with tin alone (12%). So, technically this not a bronze coin although it's common for collectors to refer to them as such. Your 1946 cent is a common date, circulated coin that appears to have been cleaned. It's worth a few cents but no real numismatic premium.
