Hey everyone, I'm new into coins and I'm learning... lol
I'm getting confused on what's a " double die" and " Machine Doubling". Can anyone anyone out there kinda help me out... what do you think this is on my penny? I'm lost... lol
Thank you in advance

@pen, first welcome to CCF. Second, can you please add the date and mint for this cent to the thread title or at least include that info somewhere? It helps with improving the CCF searching function. Thx.

Hello again, it's a 1969 with a "s" under it. I also have a 1960 with a "d" that looks about the same.. I'll get a picture tomorrow.. hopefully it's a better one..lol

Possibly dire deterioration doubling, not a doubled die. All tentative until new, full photos appear.

Note how the affected areas of Machine Doubling, reduces the size of the devices. On doubled die, there will be spread showing the devices enlarged, not reduced.
