2000 P Quarter - Marking By Nose - Any Idea What Caused This?

bmason717 Valued Member United States 71 Posts	Posted 02/27/2023 3:32 pm I know this is an old and battered quarter, but I noticed an error of some sort in front of Washington's nose? It look like the letter E to me, but I could be wrong. I looked on the opposite side but didn't see anything that matched. Also, does it look like some stuff is double stamped?
