Thanks everyone for your input. I am attempting to build my second Dansco 7070 type set and hoped this half was legit and feel quite a bit better about its authenticity thanks to this forum.

Having previously collected and moderately studied counterfeit Bust halves for some years, this one looks genuine to my eye. There's a good website to check out for these and a great book by Davignon,

Am I looking at a small golden tinge on the edge which would indicate a copper, or copper alloy core.?
To prove me wrong, this coin should weigh 13.45 grams, and that net weight would account for a very small loss of metal due to wear.
Nevertheless, from these pics, it appears to be genuine.

Appears to be F-12 at least but if that is indeed a copper core showing on the edge, then you have your answer.
