picked this up off ebay and wondering about the description. It does not have a mint mark, but it says S, now I have read that the graders agreed to assign a mint mark based on the sealed monster boxes they received from the mint, is this true? Also what does Early Releases mean? I bought it because I needed a 2011 for my caps album. Now my question is, if I take it out of the slab then its no different from any other 2011 ASE, is it better to keep it in the slab for resale value or not?

This ASE was most likely part of the larger 2011 5-coin mint set (which is how it probably got the 'first release' moniker on the slab. Now-a-days the grading companies will put the Mint Mark in "( )" when the coin does not have a MM place on it - which makes this coin a Bullion ASE. Most likely back in 2011 when this one was slabbed that was not the case.
If you remove it from the slab, it may become another 2011 bullion coin - it will also lose the 'first release' and the MS69 grade as well.

NGC early releases meant they received it for grading within 30 days of release. So either an authorized purchaser sent a monster box in for grading, or an individual bought some and sent them in to be graded in time (within the 30 day cut off).
I'm extremely doubtful it's from a 25th anniversary set. The submitter would have insisted on that designation.
I know I've busted coins out of slabs. You could do that. At a 69 grade you wouldn't lose much. If you think you got a good deal on it and that's what you want to do, go for it IMO. Or if you have cold feet over the busting the slab open, you could just look more for a raw coin.
But yes the S$1 just means silver one dollar, not a mint mark.

I paid $36 plus shipping, which to me is the normal current price for bullion grade

Yes that's a decent price and in line with a raw price, which is typical of a 69 grade usually
