Thanks! As for details, yes color, yes damage. The coin just looks off, partly the color and partly that it has a nice smooth surface that reflects well (not whizzed) but does not have any cartwheel to it. Just shiny and flat-looking like a cleaned coin. The damage isn't really just one thing, but the sum of things. The two big ones are the scratch from the tip of the chin up through the field about to eye level, which is more obvious in hand and more recent like a staple scratch, and the stuff around the O of ONE. I had a 1917 DDO-001 in similar condition with even less damage than that which they wouldn't grade straight. I would certainly take a straight AU over MS details, but unsure I can get a straight grade on it from any of the TPGs. I likely will try though as it would be very much worth it if they would put any straight grade on it. Goes from a super rare coin to a super rare registry coin at that point.
