This penny looks a lot like the recorded 1969 D floating roof no FG penny, but it's the San Francisco mint and has the FG. If anything, it's interesting to share.

Not full because I see the connections. The Floating Roof it is not a recognized error or variety. It is the consequences of the over polish die. Just Scammers on ebay, Etsy and YouTube push this as a big error. It is very common and I do not know an collector to pay any premium for this. Also the TPG's do not label this.

Floating roofs are not uncommon and don't bring a premium that I know of.

Just die events. The over polishing affected that area.

1969 and 1970 LMC make up 99.9% no initials and partial or full floating roofs.

If graded "No Initials" back in the day in an upper MS grade might still command a premium at auction. The mint/collectors or market soon after realized all three mints removed the initials and or roof supports by abrading the dies. The grading companies stopped slabbing them soon after they found the initials were present to begin with. Thanks, Doug.

None. Inflation is not my thing.. Why buy? The last one I found a few weeks ago was left in a Coin Star reject bend. Along with a 2004 5 euro cent, 1993 10 Ceska Republika and a plastic button. Thanks, Doug.

The one slabbed that sold in 2017 for over $500.00 is not my thing at the moment.
