Certainly could be a DDO, but since it has the master die doubling the only place on the coin where DDO's show up is around the 2 of the date. Given all the photos, this seems to be the only part of the coin you didn't include. From the full coin shots it looks like something could be going on above the bar of the 2 but no way to really tell for sure.

Hate the 70s? 1972 brought us Nights In White Satin (Moody Blues) and the movie The Godfather.

Great timing on posting your 1972P LMC kurdlezuit. I have recently found two 1972P & one 1972D that have a potential DDO as well. Albeit, there is PMD, but it is nice to still locate potentials. The next step is a little DI bath with the acetone and xylene follow-up. Here are the two Philly's. I think the 1st one is a 1972P-1DO-011. & the 2nd a 1972P-1DO-012.

Well this is what the Master die doubling looks like: It is one of the 50% master die doubling coins. Worth face value because it is very common to find. Want to know that to look for first on the DDO's that year? The '9' on the Date: Speeds up the search when you know to look for on this years DDO's. CoopHome: What is the first thing to look for on the 1972 DDO's? '9' on the dates.

I don't see the markers for 005. The direction of the doubling matches 009 on Variety Vista except for the "2"

Oh ok. Thanks Coop. I didn't realize it was that common on the 72. Thanks. I will move on to the next. Thanks for the help everyone.

Sorry guys it's been 10 years since I was able to get back into the coin variety and error searching. I had a family back then and had to stop to focus on the baby's. They are old enough, I can focus a little more on this again. I forgot how exciting and fun it is and my girls are even wanting to help. Unfortunately, I did forget a lot of the rules and certain date rules such as this one. I did buy your dvd 10 years ago Coop. I would watch it again, but I don't own a DVD player anymore. L Bare with me please. I will post more questionable ones. Thanks again

kurdlezuit, Always check all three-reference sites. Each site writes their attribution numbers a different way. Wexlers' would be WDDO-004 as an example. John1
