Hello everyone. I know a bit about coins but paper currency is new to me and my online research didn't reveal a bill like the one I have pictured here. Would anyone have an idea about its approximate value or can you direct me to where I can get this information?

Thank you in advance!
Kristina

Nice note. I love significant errors. These range in price from around $300 for VF examples, all the way up to almost $1,500 for GEM examples. You typically have better results with prices when the note is graded and authenticated. Here's a link to some examples that have sold at Heritage. https://currency.ha.com/c/search-re...4#3571-35093

I love seeing currency like yours. It what attracts me to wanting to collect currency.
Good luck with that, it's sharp.

Is this your bil? Are you purchasing it? What's the condition of the bill?

If it's yours get it Authenticated/ Graded . It might fetch you a pretty penny.

That is quite interesting indeed. SteveinTampa is our note expert so I go with what he says.

Curious about the color as well. Is that accurate?

I believe the purple hue is environmental damage. I'm guessing it might have been on display and received too much sunlight.

Hello. It does look more purple than blue. These 2 photos show the seal on that dollar bill compared to another blue seal.

Nice error note.
I'm guessing maybe ink contamination, usually the magenta ink fades away when expose long period of sunlight.
