These are a bit harder to grade than the other Peace dollars since they are struck in high relief. Kinda similar to grading the 1922-D Lincoln cents which can be hard to grade from weak strikes, etc.

This coin of mine is a VAM-1Z according to vamworld.com. I bought this one several years ago from a dealer who called it simply a VF. For the longest while I thought I agreed with him until I took a closer look and learned we both had it undergraded according to how to grade these high reliefs. I have it now in the XF-45 to AU-50/53 range at the moment. I sorta like the toning color on this one.
Would like to see what you all think of this one

Very nice looking. I'd say AU50-ish.

Nice High Relief '21!

I don't agree with it being "cleaned". IF it has, it's been quite some time ago. I agree that it's toning nicely!

I didn't think it was cleaned myself (if it was, with a while ago) and might be the lighting I used. There seems to be a good amount of subdued luster all around the coin.

Only paid $100 even for this one...

Most 21's that I have seen that have any toning usually have the dark black toning near the rim. Looks like maybe she was dipped to remove the black and they couldn't get it all so they stopped and set her out to retone?
Still...for $100 nice pick-up!
You can file your nails on the reverse rays...lol

I'll say EF-45 details (cleaned) but still a great buy.

I'm also at XF-45 cleaned. These are tough and AU would not surprise me. Certainly at $100 a great buy.
