I see the plate split on the reverse but the date especially confuses me as the doubling is so far off mark.

Yes, looks like split plating on the date too.

No, that is DDD (Deteriorated Die Doubling) Just a case of die wear showing on the fields. Stage 1. No premium for these. Just die events and striking events that altered coin at the time is was struck.
