Hi all. My first post in this forum.

I've inherited a coin and banknote collection which i'll be selling off online. ebay etc. I'm new to all this but reading up on as much as I can as I don't want to lose a valuable sale.

I came across this indian head 1 cent in one of the boxes with a Retained Cud top right on the reverse. Looks a type known as variety 32 from reading through other posts about similar coins. Any tips or advice gratefully received.

I've posted it on ebay but it doesn't seem to come up on this forums US error coin search feature which is a shame so any help with that also appreciated.

Thanks

I'd add the URL link to my ebay post but it seems to be against forum policy for newbies like me to start a chat with a link to something I'm selling which is fair enough I guess.

I thought it might be an early state 021 too, but 021 doesn't show the small cracks at the shield or at 10:00. The obverse date positions are also way off.

@kbbpll...you're right. It also dosen't have the obverse Cud.
My only reference is the website of Indianvarieties...might be one of the ones with "photos coming soon"?

There's a lot going on here - a little rim Cud on the obverse too, and the die crack at TE.

Thanks for the comments folks. Appreciated. I see what you mean about var 21. I saw a reference to a variety 32 in a different post on this forum which looked like exactly the same place on the coin (1:00 to 2:00). However, 32 on the reference guide I've found looks completely different with an edge Cud around 3:00 to 4:00. Either way looks like a nice error IHC.
