1944 Penny, Not Magnetic - Coin Community Forum

It's not magnetic, and does not have a letter beneath the date, which I think means it's from Philadelphia? Should I give up on this? Or continue pursuing? Thank you all. Cents minted the year prior were made from zinc-coated steel.
