Hmm, a nice crisp (and correctly oriented) picture of the mintmark would help--it might be circulation wear, but really hard to see for sure. In the meanwhile, here is a link to the known RPMs for this 1943-S cents to help you with your research:

@cdc, sorry but the picture of the mintmark is still too small. When I crop, enlarge, and enhance, it comes out too pixelated to tell much.

Looks more like circulation flattening on the center of the mintmark. Not a RPM or a DDO.

The area to the SE on the last image, is die wear. Die wear is seen in the direction of the closest rim. Not a RPM.
