When I go to the bank, I ask if they have any of these older style 100's, and they usually don't and rarely ever see them anymore. Apparently they consider the "old" ones to be the ones printed in the early part of the 2000's or late 90's (without color), and I have to tell them I'm not interested in those.

$125 on ebay would be break even, at best.

It's hard to justify keeping modern circulated non-star $100s.

1990 is "modern"? 33 years old, good condition. Average age of a $100 is between 7.5 and 22.9 years from what I see. If it's selling for $120 now and could possibly be worth $200 in 20 years (not a great investment, but a decent one) I want to keep it, but mainly I just like it.

With inflation at over 5%, holding on to this may not be a very good idea. I'm not here to discourage you jvcv, and I wholeheartedly recommend that you collect and keep anything and everything you take a fancy to, but don't count on this particular note to go up in value.

Collectors consider everything from 1963 and up as modern.
