to the CCF.

You have a common date coin with significant damage on the obverse side and rims. It would have graded in the VF range prior to the damage - but now it is simply a damaged common Lincoln Wheat cent.

First lesson - coin pros call them 'cents' and not 'pennies'.

Your coin has no numismatic premium. Value is about 3 cents.

Keep looking and asking and we can help.

Definitely not wasting your time, but just know that this cent is only worth a few times face value. Pretty bizarre considering it will be 100 years old very soon.

This is a nearly century old cent that is very worn from circulation. Because it is a wheat coin, the value comes up a tiny bit, but not much.

There's so many of these cents that even though it's old it's not worth very much. It's still cool to keep, though! Even some ancient Roman coins are worth only a little despite that they are 1,800 years old! Too many were made!!!
