My rep has sent an advanced notice for a Special Royal Coin Launch tonight at 12:01 EST.
Edit: Received a new email tonight saying the advanced notice has been cancelled. Edited by MoneyPenney 05/01/2023 9:46 pm

I thought RCM would only unveil the coronation coins on Saturday. That's exciting! Get your wallets ready everybody!

No new effigy. A couple new items on top of the regular release.
I find it odd that the Mint releases some items without the advance notice to Master Club Members.
Don't hold your breath waiting for a new effigy, it might even become political.

Political .shocking ! It is better than 50/50 that Charles never appears on a Canadian Banknote or coin . Just waiting for the decision In 2026 or so !

I received the advanced notice from my rep. As far as I know only Master Club members have a rep.

What I meant was some coins, like the extra ones that were to be released tomorrow, are available to everyone to purchase at the same time instead of following the Masters Club purchase schedule.
I wasn't referring to only knowing about them ahead of time.

My understanding is that the coins that were to be released were RCM coins, not the medallions listed on CC&C. They will still be released, just at a different time.

Seeing the Canadian Coins and Currency pieces makes me wonder if the Mint will be striking KCIII medals for free distribution to schoolchildren like was done for QEII at the time of her coronation?

That would be really nice! But things have definitely changed since 70 years ago. Wouldn't hold my breath!
