Ive been a little speechless lately and nervous at the same time! In not an expert when it comes to coins but I know enough just to get around! So rhis would be actually one of my WT through PCGS wich I will send with other coins That I belive Are worth over 100k now my question is should I send the coins seperatly in diff WT submitions or send them all together at the same time?

@mar, here is a link to the only known DDO for the 1917 cents:

http://varietyvista.com/01a%20LC%20...O%201917.htm

I don't see how something as dramatic as this could have remained a secret while circulating lightly for more than 100 years. Until proven otherwise, you should assume this is a fantasy/fake coin.

Added: also, I think you might mean to be comparing this against the 1955 DDO rather than 1958.

I can't imagine that is a genuine coin. Hard to believe this is the only known example of such a dramatic DDO - and that it has gone undiscovered for 106 years.

Lots of things on this coin just look wrong. I too doubt the authenticity of the piece.

Can you add an image of the reverse and give us the weight?

Fake, and extremely similar to the 1955 counterfeits out there.

There are a few of these counterfeits floating around, but so far I haven't been able to pick one up to get a good look at it. It is unclear who made them, but like some of the 1955 counterfeits it appears that the doubling on the LIBERTY and date goes in opposite directions, so likely from that same source.

Spence, I think the OP is referencing the record price of over $1 million realized in January at GC for a '58 DDO.

Ok sorry for the anticipation guys but I'm back! Shall we wait for more ppl to pitch in their thoughts on it? And with all do respect I feel everyone on why you guys think its a fake! I know its hard to believe, but remember when the 1955 DDO first came about everyone also thought it was a fake and then boom#128165; its like they rose from the grave! Also Spence I'm pretty sure it was the 1958 @ $1.12 million anyways well here are the results everyone wanted to see! Everyone take out your notes and make sure everything looks correct!! I'm uploading 2 other wheat pennies so you guys can see if theres a diff on anything! If this dont change your mind well then lets wait and see what PCGS says! Coin Community seen this first btw yall should feel special!!!Finally I will be posting some other pretty rare flying eagles, large cents,1,2, and 3 cent coins even 2 1922 no mint mark Lincoln Cent a few just to name a few I have, so be on the lookout for more! Sorry if I sounded like a *** Edited by Staff - The bad word filter is in place for a reason. Bypassing the filter and making the intended word obvious anyway is completely unacceptable. *** never my intentions!! All love and respect we are all in to win it!!!
