@don, first welcome to CCF. Second, the front of this quarter is stained. On the reverse, those two parallel tracks don't look like die cracks to me. In the pics, they have a faint color to them. Maybe dried ink? Can you remove bits of them with the tip of a wooden toothpick?

Also I'm noticing that the line seems to go under the kayaker and also pops out into the the u and the r in pluribus causing some kind of damage.

Suggest giving the quarter a long soak in 100% acetone. I suspect we're not dealing with die cracks.

I will grab some acetone today. Perhaps I jumped the gun mentioning die cracks. Suppose I didn't suggest die cracks. What else may have you guys said? I've been reading about some kind of roller marks and also Cuds. Could they be some form of either?

No Cuds always involve the rim, and not roller lines either - roller lines will usually cover the entire face of the coin on both sides. I'll wait for you to give this a nice acetone soak - but be sure to use only pure acetone from the hardware store, not fingernail polish remover. ...In the meantime - it looks like somebody went 4 wheeling on this coin and went into Batman's secret cave. But here is how it is supposed to look:

Ah very cool thank you for the information I didn't know that about Cuds so when there's a " Cud" on the inside of the coin it's not truly such? And I will make sure that I get pure acetone. Definitely getting the Batman vibe lol

I think it is glue or maybe just a passage to a pot of gold? I would paddle in the cave.

to the CCF! I'm not sure it's die cracks either. The odd shape of the lines and discoloration around the anomaly makes it look like a foreign substance (glue?) on the surface of the coin. Acetone may remove the lines. MAKE SURE to follow all of the precautions listed on the acetone as it is flammable and can create an explosive condition if the fumes are concentrated. The lines make me think of torpedo trails in the water. Looks like they just miss the kayaker. He even seems to be watching for the explosion when they hit the canyon wall.

Well guys.... PMD got me again.. I always regret telling people about my million dollar coin I finally found for real this time...#128566;#8205;#127787;#65039;#128580;#128540; Better luck next time. I wonder how that PMD came about... Intentionally done or not? Such thin beads of whatever it was and the way it left the dark marks around it like when the coin has fissures. Anywho I suppose the world may never know how many licks it takes to get to the center. Thank you to everyone who welcomed me and helped me dive a tad bit deeper into the rabbit hole #128048;#128048;#128048;🙏;🙏;🙏;#9996;#65039;#9996;#65039;#9996;#65039; appreciate you all. I'll be around.

Thanks for the update on this coin. But when messaging from a phone, the phones emojis don't work here, all we see is a # sign and a bunch of numbers.
