Hi everyone...need some input on what you think the grade of this coin would be. Also, I believe it to be Type 2, but maybe some of the experts out there can confirm. Thanks

yes, variety 2 is correct, stars under eagle. Oh the grade, not sure, never have them that nice. Great coin.

May I inject an opinion of AU 55 with a full head?

I don't collect or grade this series but it certainly looks AU.
What's up with color? Is it the lighting or does the coin have a pinkish hue?

Is that a scratch going around the obverse? If so the grade would drop a bit, if not than I'll say AU-58.

I'd call it AU too. Some rub on the eagle and on liberty's chest.

I would certainly agree with the AU range, but there is a flat spot on the head, at the temple area. Awful close though! Is the circular scratch possibly from a rolling machine of some sort? Overall, really nice Type II! Success,

Thanks for all the responses everyone. So it seems to be a consensus AU. If anyone want to chime in further (50, 53, 55, etc) that would be helpful.

I have no problem seeing this as an AU55/58, just a little rub on the leg/knee and on the leading edge of the wing and no distracting marks. Interestingly enough, I think it is about 90% FH but the breast and shield rivets have a bit of a weak strike. Remember, Full Head(FH) does not equal Full Details strike There appears to be an almost-full obverse die crack, could you confirm that? The surfaces of the coin look very original, quite a nice coin edit: oops, left out one little word(no)

I think you can rule out AU50 through AU55. Is that a die crack going around the obverse? Quite interesting.
Like biokemist is said, this may very well be an MS coin (is that what you were saying?). If so, MS63 or better.
