I found this 1942 Denver Wheat penny coin roll hunting. It has some kind of major error on the reverse... looks like a mint error, but I'm new at this so don't know what it could be... Has anyone seen anything like this before? Thank you!

That is PMD not a mint error.

Looks like man 'face' on the moon. It is just a damaged coin.

Yes, post-strike damage--not an error. What does the obverse look like?
