For some reason I decided to look at my 1961 proof set again this morning, this time under my cheap microscope and this is what I saw ... is it ... or my imagination?

I took the coin out of the original cello after many many many minutes of looking and looking again. Pics are from after removing from the cello.

(sorry the full coin pics are blurry - cheap phone)

No doubt the big one. FS-101, easily $1200-$1500. Huge congratulations. I recommend having it slabbed and sold if that's the direction you want to go. Definitely slab though!

Called a few LCS's and one was interested enough to look at this posting so I guess I'll try to raise the cash for submittal.

2 milk spots and something attached to the field below the L in Liberty on the obv

I will sell it - almost put the whole set on ebay for ~ $30 or so :)

Wow - very nice find. Congratulations!

Heritage Auctions may be the best way to sell this for maximum profit.

@oddguy

Thanks.

The gloves were on before I cut the cello. Coin went on the microscope stage, seated on the card insert from the set. Then straight to a 2X2 after the photo session.

I think Heritage will take care of the slabbing for you. Please let us know how it goes.
