This one was spotted by another CCF member and he let me take a shot at it and I won it. It was a pick, as the trail dies were not in the listing so keen eyes!

Based on information on traildies.com, there is (was) only one known proof quarter with trails, a 2005 Minnesota reverse. So assuming they are taking submissions this will become the first silver proof known to have trails.

Nice score! It would indeed be the 2nd proof Washington quarter trail die cataloged, and the first silver proof. Alas the site says the following:

New attributions have been suspended at this time. Save your trails and we will advise when we can take new submissions.

BJ Neff posted trail die examples of a 2015 Homestead and 2013 Mr. Rushmore a while back. Not Proofs but still neat. Here is a link to the post. http://goccf.com/t/232477&SearchTer...die,Rushmore

Very cool! I've often wondered about the lack of many early date trail listings. Maybe the condition of the coin, maybe not knowing about trails for several years and just now becoming more mainstream, possibly different tools used by the mint workers? It will be interesting to see if more early dates start to be noticed, as time goes on.
