Got a 1976 d dime liberty is almost touching the rim the y is actually almost fused. Aren't they supposed to have atleast some separation. It looks off compared to others I know the Roosevelt dimes have a lot of error's that are common. Just wondering what happened to this one I have a lot of off center Roosevelt dimes is this the same situation it just looks like there isn't enough room for the design even though it's the same size. Probably common I have a few with collar die clashes and that is common as well.

I believe that it's normal and part of the design.

multiple coins with the same spacing hints it's normal for the time period

please net time don't start 2 topics of the same coin, just got back and edit the first one you start.

Anyway, This looks like a normal dime to me. it is a bit of a MAD strike towards the Liberty.

Maybe it was struck slightly out of collar or the dies were slightly misaligned. Minor problem that does not enhance the value beyond 10 cents in my opinion.
