Have an opportunity to buy this walking liberty set but am newer to American coins. They're hoping for $500USD. I'm think more towards $425USD.

Any opinions on a conservative value would be appreciated. Apologize if the pictures aren't the greatest. I have to screen shot them.

They're Walking Liberty (edit title). They all look to be G4 to F12 with the bulk of them probably VG8. 1938-D is the only one with any extra value in that group otherwise they're all around $15 coins as far as I can tell, so $450 seems fair to me unless the seller insists on an extra $50 for the 38-D.

Here is my value:
27 coins @ $11 = $297
38D Fine = $60
47D AU & 45 AU = $50
Total $407

This is based that the 38D, 47D and 45 not being cleaned. Your offer of $425 is more than fair.

Sounds about right. I'll say $410.

Ok, thanks for all the opinions. Sorry about the title, trying to figure out how to change it.

with everyone so far...
But you need to ask yourself..."why do you want these?"
But I would start at $400...that's just me ; )
I would start with...if the 37-D or even the 37-S were a little better...even the 44-S...
But most of these would be just hole fillers and with the volatile silver market...
That's how I approach these raw coins...I need to know I'm on the safe end instead of just buying to be buying.
Good luck and let us know how it turns out...

That is a nice looking set. It has that honest "pulled from circulation" look. US$425 is fair. They want US$500. I would not feel bad if I had to spend US$450 for it.

Agree this set has a nice circulated look to it. Best of wishes on dropping the price a bit!
