It is clear for me no D but I have hard time to decide myself what relief it is.

I think it's a modified 1922-D.
If it indeed does match any of the 22 no d's die pair that's a good sign!
Send it off for grading.

It looks quite convincing with the new images. Still - this needs to be in TPG holder before I'm convinced. Check back with us when you have the results. And best of wishes!

This one will be heading to ANACS on Saturday or Monday at the latest! I am very excited - it really, really seems like the real thing... and even if it's not, and there is a removed D that isn't visible, then a 1922-D LWC is nothing to sneeze at either. That'd fill a hole in our folders as well! (Dad and I have been filling some Whitman folders with wheats entirely from circulation! Highlights: 1911, 1918, 1914-S). Additionally, I suppose that if this is, in fact, a 1922 No D, then it still fills the 1922-D slot!

@NSS-52
Great comparison images - I wouldn't touch an uncertified "1922 No D" with a ten foot pole.
This is the reason why I'm submitting my coin for grading - it came out of a roll, so I'd only be out the grading fees if it comes back as altered or fake. Besides, comparing it with a genuine 1922-D shows some clear differences, which appear to match the characteristics of real 1922 No D cents.

@nss-52, despite the similarities, I'm not convinced the first 2 coins are the same. The second pair definitely appear to be the same coin, but the fake version doesn't have any of the same characteristics of a genuine 22 no D like the OP's coin. In any case, it just shows the importance of having something like this authenticated.
