Are these 1960D large date/ small date coins? Found these today and trying to learn..

Appears to be a normal large date. There is only one business strike that had the small date Hubbing over a large date. It is also an RPM. The mint mark location is also incorrect on your coin.

Did you check all three reference sites we all need to check? Last pic shows the "lines" on the numbers which is why I think you questioned the coin. I think it is MD of some kind.

Over time, if you look at many 60's coins, you will see what you have here again. For some reason, this year had an issue with chipping and cracking that followed the date and gives it the look you see.

@ -makecents- I see what you mean. I found one more in the pile of 60 D's I was looking through that has those same features but also a big chip that filled in half the 9

As Lawest said above, the best PUP on these is the almost complete D above the MM almost running into the 9.
