Here's another one I found that I liked a good bit. Not exactly sure about the faint diagonal lines on the reverse ( I brightened the picture up to show them better). Lines do not appear to cross the letters "ONE CENT," but are in the field only. Obverse fields show none. Seems like a pretty nice example to me in terms of details. Solid EF45 I think.

also think it has au sharpness. Looks like N-14 R-2. Nice coin but not really a fan of the dark spots on obverse.

Are the reverse lines from die polishing?

not sure about die polishing. Grellman's book doesn't talk about the lines in his description of this die variety.

they have to be die polish lines. there are just too many of them and they are not crossing devices.

i think the black gung may clean up with acetone.

i have the coin at mid to high AU/ AU58 would not surprise me

Just pulled the trigger. New pics when in hand. I thought it was an AU coin, but I've seen so many I was sure were AU, graded at EF45. Guess I should stick to my guns. Common date, but a nice raw example I think.
