When I found this Wheat cent, I knew I would have to ask for help. I don't know a lot about " Cuds" if that's what this cent is. I searched the various sites and ended up on Cuds On Coins. The closest I found was LDB5-1955-001B 55BL+. However, this coin has way more going on than what's described on the site. Lots of cracks...almost on all devices and field. Wheat stalks look doubled as well. Thanks for your help. Sorry for all the photos......I wanted you to see how extensive the events are.

I don't see a Cud, but certainly lots of die chips and die cracks. Interesting looking coin for sure.

I wasn't saying there was a Cud. I was asking for help to determine if the "globs" were Cuds or something else. The last cent that I posted with lots of die crack, I was told to check out Cuds On Coins and that's where I came up with the term. Sorry..Thanks

No apology necessary - we gladly take all questions!

Cuds involve the rim and are a result of a die break that sometimes falls off or is sometimes retained - but all of them involve the rim.

Your 'globs' appear to be the result of internal die breaks. I don't believe that would be classified as true Cuds but I could be wrong on that.

Nice find. I wonder how much longer that die survived. Most of those cracks are in recessed areas that take a lot of pressure.

That Lincoln is certainly overrun with interesting die events. FYI - I've often seen die chips in the wheat stalks referred to as "bugs."
