Hi Guys, picked up this 1919-S Mercury dime and wondering what grade it will make as this year and mint is well known for poor strike quality, it's very difficult to judge the grade... I am really hoping for an AU58 or better . Will post better pics once I receive the coin in hand. Meanwhile let me what you all think. Thanks a lot for all your inputs. Based on those pics without having the coin in hand. AU55 would be my guess

It might have environmental damage and if it doesn't then AU+ sounds fair. I'd try soaking it in pure acetone for a few hours. There is definitely something on the surfaces and it needs conserving. But don't clean it.

The splotchy toning is not attractive to my eye. Maybe AU but we'll need sharper photos to know.

this is a tough one. taking into account strike issues the obverse would put the coin in the high AU range. this is going to depend on how a TPG would assess the strike on the reverse and how much they would deduct that. on top of that the coin has the overall appearance of an improperly stored coin. I'm going with AU details (ED)

Tough one to grade with photos with all the toning.

not sure how you got that one cleaned up like that...a little too much glare to see the surfaces properly but it looks nice. at least mid AU without better photos
