Hello, I just wanted to show off a new addition to my collection. This is a really nice Japan 50 Sen from 1937. There were 48 million of these minted for the year and there are 788 graded at NGC. At the top end there are 2 in MS68, 27 in MS67 and 108 in MS66. So it's a very affordable coin in high grades, and I think the toning on this one makes it extra special. It's in an old holder, the type is nicknamed 'no line fatty'. 'Generation 4.0 - Common. Produced Aug 1989-1992. This holder has the same front label as Gen 3 but the rear got a hologram for updated security. Holder is found with brown or green border labels also. While still fairly common it is seen less and less as time goes by.'
