@gem, that isn't a die crack/break. It might be a struck through wire, but honestly looks much more like a groove cut into the coin after it left the mint (damage).

It was in a roll of pennies that are uncirculated.

I also suspect this to be damage. Especially with how it skips going from higher relief to the field at the top left edge of the shield.
