Poll Question
Not my coin or pics... You can see the dentils and the T right through it so it's not a Cud or a die chip as others have guessed. Looks like something on the coin, maybe struck through plastic or just plastic on it. Would you slab it or send it back?

I had a small piece of lint that could have been attached, I returned it. Errors don't interest me hence I would rather have a coin without issues.

I'm with Helder on that - I want pristine/perfect coins.
However this one is interesting - is that raised or incuse? can anyone tell?

A conundrum.
Coin collectors are a curious lot. New Mint collector product is not supposed to have any manufacturing defects. Some would consider this coin an error coin, and thus more valuable. Some would consider this coin a defective product, and would prefer to have their money back.
I can't make up my mind about these two opposing arguments, which I consider both to be valid.
Due to the opposing arguments, I do not think that slabbing and return shipping fees are justified.

Appears to be a minor Struck Through error. I'd return it if you don't like it.
Errers and Varietys.

Yep, I'd send it back. Though it would be dependent on just what it is, I can't imagine it would be worth the cost of sending in for grading, and I find it a distraction.

With the odd shape, I would say strike through, but hard to say from the image. I would probably keep it, and purchase another one if you want a pristine sample. If it is a strike through, it's fairly sizeable.

sel-691, You pose A Great Conundrum, An Obvious question I can Draw is What is The Problem on The coin shown. The " Molten " Blob tells me, from the provided photos, Whatever Was Struck Through this Coin, All The Forensics are NOT there, What part of the Problem destroyed the RIM, ...... That said, What Would I do, Simple, I LOVE mint Defects, I LOVE pristine, Perfect Coinage from the U S Mints, However, I would Relish Keeping This Baby,That's Just Me....... I am The Collector.........

I'd open the capsule and see if it can be easily removed. If it cannot then I'd return it.
