Hi Coin Community, I need some help regarding this penny. I have had this for many years and lost it for quite some time just found it today. I know there are many error coins out there and this seems to be pretty unusual. I hope the pictures do it justice and I measured it next to a regular penny to provide context. A normal penny is (19.05mm or 15/16ths). The penny I have questions about is (17mm or 11/16ths). It is hard to tell in the pics but it has not been shaved down or altered in anyway, the entire outside edge looks like the typical penny should.
Do I have a unique item here worthy of posting about or have I wasted everyone's time. I appreciate any feedback
Mwaters, to CCF. I have seen them before. It looks like someone tried to mimic a dime. I bet if you weight it, it will be near the weight of a dime. People use them in vending machines or try too anyways. John1
