1942 Walking Liberty if you look closely on the reverse of this coin - there by the wing there is what looks like - well a wire. Someone said it's a scratch , I disagree.
I took some pics with my close up camera . It not a scratch. Well I'm hoping someone here knows .. I would be grateful for the help ! What do you guys think ? I am about to put the pictures up. I'm new so you know!

If you are copy and pasting the image links, you need to include the square brackets too "[ AND ]"

OK I see what you are talking about - it looks like a scratch to me.
Can you try to post up a close up of this area? (even if you post up the link wrong, it can be fixed so we can see the image)

@hip, best practice is to only start one thread per coin. I know that you are having a bit of trouble, but seem to be figuring things out, which is awesome. To keep everything in one spot, I've merged your three threads into this single one.

to the CCF!

It looks like a scratch because it has an incuse, dark center with a 'wave' of displaced metal pushed to both edges of the scratch. The other scratches in that area that don't show the 'wave' have been worn flat with extensive circulation. A strike through wouldn't have a raised area next to the incuse area.

lets take another look at this scratch. I have never seen a scratch that was curved into a coin such as this. I am agreeing that this is not a error during mintage, but I just think it is a scratch either. there is one small section where it kinda looks like it is a scratch, like it was going into the metal , but the rest of the item well it looks like it is on top of the surface. Also, it is also surrounded by scratches, none look the same . maybe the other nicks and scratches were older but certainly they look nothing alike. I don't know, it just seems like a wire. A very smalll wire. But lets not forget that we cannot rule out alien technology also. just sayn. I am going to shoot some better pics of it with my magnifier camera and post them ! maybe then we will have answers. Thank you. I have a few more things to show you guys.

now hear me out. I know that it was popular opinion that my Walking Liberty coin does not contain a wire - and I still think it does - but look at what I found in a google search. It is a Walking Liberty with a wire in it - from the mint. so, this just proves that it is a thing. so, I will ask you to take a closer look. This is not a scratch.
The first pic is the one I found online (example).
The second and third is mine.

Hip2myskip, this is the FIFTH time you've started a new topic on this coin. I've merged it here. This is your last warning. One coin, one topic.

Could be struck through retained wire I guess.
The example image you posted only shows the strike-through and not the retained wire part. Here is a better crop of it.
