Very nice repunch. What is that apparent linear feature extending vertically from the bow tie to Abe's throat?

@ijn, isn't that a bit of a die clash?

Sorry @gros, but I can't help with an exact grade, but this coin looks gorgeous to me.

I'll say MS-66RD or better from what I can see.

Very nice RPM. I'll say MS-65 or MS-66.

Looks 66 to me. That vertical feature is a die clash.

66RD at most,IMHO. It does have a die clash by the neck and what looks like a die clash by the E and N on the reverse.

ok my friend. this one looks pretty nice.

obv - a few minor ticks on the rims, strike is better than avg for the year. shoulder and lapel are cleaner than we see also. fields look very clean. the luster is all there and the color appears to be RD. nice eye appeal

rev - maybe 1 or 2 very minor rim ticks. nice even solid strike. unsure what the 2 dots are to the left of E above the left stock, they appear to be raised so I'm thinking they are die related. you rarely see any of the letters on the reverse that are not nicked up. this one is really nice. you'll need to confirm if thats a die break break between the E and N. one or two small discolorations in the fields. color most definitely RD

i like it and one the of better coins you posted in a while. I compared yours to few slabbed ones and yours is better than 66. the reverse on this one is as good as any 67 I saw. the coin has a decent shot at 67 and with the RPM it may be worth a shot.

Honestly, this looks like it would be a 68 if it were an earlier date. I've seen 55-S graded 66 that were essentially perfect coins and would have been 68 or 69 if they had been a less common mintage. It takes a lot to get to higher grades in the more common mintages. You may call BS but you know it's true, you've all seen it happen.

Is that a corresponding clash mark at the E in ONE and the T in cent?

Coin looks amazing.

Along the chin line and beard line — is that wear? If not, would anyone be kind enough to explain it to me?

I'm new to trying to grade coins.

not wear, just from the die and the strike. you can do a search on these and you're going to find the majority look the same.

When you say majority look the same — you mean this date and mint mark? Or all Lincoln cents? Thank you for input.

58D LWC's. my best guess is that the die was polished and removed what we would normally see as beard is now missing.
