That's one nice Rotated Die Clash! I hope Ken beats it and gets better!

I call it my "Ho" clash since it was most likely caused by the "ho" on the edge of the reverse as seen in the overlay.

You can see a faint "o" on the third pic just below the 2 "h" lines, starting from the top pic going down.

Hey that is a pretty neat find @tig and not something that we commonly see here. Thx for posting it!

I don't think this is a clash from one of the outer letters given it's a raised mark, but it could be from "EDITH KANAKA'OLE".

I have been working with others including some of the error groups and Ken Potter and the only thing that works on the overlay is the "ho" on the outer rim of the reverse. Some others much better than I have tried to amke the centered reverse overlay work and it does not. I can fing them as he posted them on the site in Facebook and all agree the outer rim fits perfect. But I appreciate your feedback, I want to be doubly sure. Mad clash is reviewing it now.

I'm not convinced either. It appears the bars look similar to the vertical legs of a capital H, or small h, above or below the horizontal H bar. The adjacent o might line up with a MAD clash from the reverse ho. There looks like there might be a very slight curve to the clashed ho, similar to what is seen along the reverse E ho. Is it possible to have been misaligned that much, and then clashed? From the reverse edge to the obverse center. Have any other examples been found? Nice find and interesting

It is the E from OLE, rotated a bit. Nice find!

to the CCF! I'm working on a Photoshop overlay to match these marks. I'll post it tomorrow IF I can get things to match up! Really interesting coin!

Here's the overlay I came up with. I have to say the clash mark really does seem to match the lower case h. I checked several other alignments but none of them matched. I used an image of the obverse, did an insert of the clashed area and then did the normal reverse overlay with an offset and rotation. I can't be sure this is correct, but it's really close! Yokozuna- as Tanman pointed out, this raised feature could not have come from the "h" which was an incuse design on the die.
