It is difficult to visualize with normal lighting and I really had to work with angled side lighting, but without a doubt you can see the vertical line following the left side of the 2, as well as the "tail" end attachment at the bottom of the 4. Would this be sufficient to give me the 42/41 status?
Thanks in advance for all comments.

I don't think it's the 1942/41, but I could be wrong.

I'm also not seeing 42/1 in these pics. The vertical line left of the 2 to which you refer appears to be a scratch.

Negative, it is not. The overdate variety is so obvious you would not need to be asking.

Welcome!

Scratch...as has been said, with a legit one there is no need to ask. B/c they came from the same die, they will all be IDENTICAL in the overdate area. "Similar looking" is not a match with any coin variety.

Thank you for the comments even though disappointed I don't own a 42/41. However I would like to submit different photos of the same coin demonstrating the doubling. If you would be kind enough to verify whether this is a doubling or not? Thanks again.

These do not alter our opinion: not the overdate, not even close.

I see some Machine Doubling. Definitely not of the valuable Type.

Not the overdate, no amount of pictures will change that.
