Question: What Mint Does "u.s. Mint" On A S E Packaging Refer To?

I'm getting ready to transfer them from the Littleton packaging to slabs for better protection. Package says minted at U.S. Mint. Is this a reference to West Point? hfjacinto Pillar of the Community United States 7273 Posts	Posted 09/22/2023 8:15 pm You don't need pictures. If they are bullion ( no mint mark) they were most likely made at Philadelphia. There were a few minted at West Point and San Francisco but unless you have the monster box with the serial number there is no way to tell them apart. So assume Philadelphia. Proofs and Burnished have mint marks on the reverse. hfjacinto Pillar of the Community United States 7273 Posts	Posted 09/22/2023 8:45 pm It shouldn't hurt it, but these are just bullion coins, they don't have any extra premium other than spot plus x (between $6-10) No real reason to remove from the package they are in. You might actually get more on ebay selling them in the Littleton package rather than in a slab you get from Amazon.
