As soon as I saw this coin on Heritage I fell in love with it. As a result, I definitely overpaid but I won. Besides the insane toning, something else caught my eye and put me over the edge, can you see what I saw from the first four pictures?

Also, what do you think PCGS graded it?

Fantastic bullseye toning and a VAM-4 to boot! Congrats on a great coin! Based on those TrueView pics, I'd say MS-63+.

Nice looking coin. MS62 but this will trade based on the spectacular toning.

scrap the TV shots. PCGS loves this type of toning and adds a premium to a coin exhibiting it. if the marks across the jaw and neck are on the coin then MS63. if its a clean cheek like the TV shots are showing then MS66

I'm thinking MS-62 but it's hard to see what are contacts so higher grade would be no surprise here

Everyone has been spot on. As Zurie pointed out, this is a VAM-4 and as many others guessed this was graded MS-63 by PCGS.

I'm debating sending it back in for the variety designation as it would be tied for top pop.

As others have already said, I don't think adding the attribution to this slab would currently provide any increase in value if/when it is sold. It would be cool to have a top pop VAM and if I was going to do that, I'd probably use the VSS service without resubmitting to PCGS (unless you think there is a chance that they'd bump the grade and/or add a "+".)

And this coin will sell based on the toning as has also been stated. I can't tell you how many VAM cherry-picks I've lost to people who were after toning. Unless it is a super-VAM, I don't even look for varieties on heavily toned coins any more because it would cost more than I'm willing to pay for the particular variety. A good way to determine if the variety adds value is to go to Great Collections, look up your coin in the auction archives, make note of recent sold prices, throw the VAM designation into the "keyword" filter and compare. It will surprise you how many of the VAMs just don't add value above the coin itself.

By the way - I think your Morgan is beautiful!
