Need Help Identifying This 2001-D Quarter (Error?)

That being said, I've been hanging on to this one for about 6 months now. It is not silver color and the color is uniform across both sides of this coin. Is this anything worth keeping and adding to my recently started coin collection. It is interesting to look at, but this would be a spender for me.
