I have a coin collection that I have not did much with since I was 14, 54 years ago. I just pulled it out of the closet and inside a paper towel I found this penny, Is it real, does it have value. MavamQ

Welcome to the forum. That is a legitimate off-center strike. It certainly has some value, I would expect around $15 or so. Nice find!

Nice Off Center strike! Also, coins are struck not printed.

Here are both sides and weight is 2.497 to 2.501 grams on my scale. But I have no clue how accurate it is. MavamQ

to the CCF Yes, that is a nice off-center coin. Quote: as for the date - we can rule out 1981, but that's about it We can also rule out 1980. How do we know this? You provided an accurate weight that ensures this coin is struck on a copper plated zinc planchet - and that started in 1982.
