1972 Doubled Die Obverse / DDO Lincoln Memorial Cent

Mrichter830 Valued Member United States 79 Posts	Posted 10/19/2023 03:53 am Hello all, I found a 1972 DDO Lincoln Cent but am having the hardest time classifying it correctly. Doubling can be seen around all outer devices and the front Nd back of the coat. I feel like it doesn't match up perfectly with anything. Its not 001, I have been looking at 002,003 and 004, but the markers aren't exact. I have checked it against the die markers on wexlers and copper coins both until I fell asleep at my coin desk a few times. At this point I'm driving myself crazy and probably just confusing myself lol. Super excited though, even though the coin is beat up its my first really doubled DDO. Unfortunately I can't access the attribution sites right now to compare and help. It can be helpful to add a link to VV, CC, or DD so others can access them from the thread. Appreciate all the help and can't wait until my next one. I just left bank and reali,realized, they gave me one new box of pennies, well 2022 but I'm too awkward to ask them to switch it so I will just put it on ebay or sit on them. HAPPY hunting.
